In parallel we complete anti-money-laundering identity checks, agree your fee in writing, and register as your agent with HMRC so we can act on your behalf.
Timing matters slightly. The easiest moment is just after a set of accounts has been filed, because there is a clean break in the records. But mid-year moves happen constantly and are not a problem.
The whole process usually takes around two weeks, and almost all of it happens without you needing to do anything beyond that first email.
